SEPT 13-14, 2025

Rules & guidelines

Clue Medallion Markers

Items you will find on the hunt:

Items you will find on the hunt

  • Clue Starting Spot Locations – Marked with Yellow/Orange Stars on the Google Map. Use the trail map to find each clue starting spot.

  • Treasure Hunt Markers – 4-inch medallions with a number and a clue letter on the back. These are usually hanging from an object or structure.

  • Treasure Number & Letter – Write these down as you find them. You’ll need all five to unlock the final treasure map.

  • Treasure Map – The final treasure location can be accessed at pack1154.org/treasure.

    • Passcode = all 5 codes combined in numeric order.

    • Example: If codes are 1V, 2R, 3G, 4H, 5Y, the passcode is 1V2R3G4H5Y (uppercase).

  • Treasure Box – A bright orange combination box at the final spot.

    • Combination = first 3 numbers from the codes, alphabetized by their clue letter.

    • Example: If codes are 1V, 2R, 3G, 4H, 5Y, the alphabetical order is H4, R2, V1, Y5, G3. The first three are H4, R2, V1, so the combo is 421.

👉 Goal: Have fun and find the treasure!

Goal of the treasure hunt is to have fun and find the treasure!

How to Play

  1. Start at Clue #1 on the Google Map (locations are spread around Sanders Corner Elementary).

  2. Read the clue at the starting spot. It will point you toward where the medallion is hidden.

    • Medallions may not be right at the spot — you may need to look nearby.

    • If it takes more than 20 minutes, move on and circle back later.

  3. Write down the number and letter from each marker. This is essential.

    • Tip: Some markers may be hard to reach. Use binoculars or zoom with your phone.

  4. Put each marker back exactly where you found it.

  5. Continue through all 5 clue locations.

  6. Unlock the final treasure map at pack1154.org/treasure.

  7. Find the treasure box, use the combination, read the letter inside, and take a doubloon and treasure chip (one per Scout/sibling).

Other Important stuff:
